Stevedore Knot

Stevedore Knot

A simple fishing stop knot at the end of the fishing line. The knot is knitted using a double figure eight and creates a thickening at the end. It is used, for example, for making leashes, which are then woven into knots [Snake knot for leash](https://fishplanetapps.com/apps/fishing-knots/knot/knot-1426) or [Simple Leash knot](https://fishplanetapps.com/apps/fishing-knots/knot/knot-425). Important: the free (running) end of the fishing line coming out of the knot cannot be used to tie, for example, a hook to it - since it is pinched by the knot at an acute angle and under load it will come off immediately after the knot! The knot itself in the right direction has the strength 70% of the strength of the fishing line.
