This knot works well for tying slippery monofilament and fluorocarbon lines of approximately the same thickness. The strength of the knot is 70% of the strength of the fishing line. If you use it for fishing lines of different thicknesses, the thin fishing line should be folded in half, which will increase the strength of the knot.
