Egg loop knot

This knot is used to secure soft and lax bait to the hook. Such a bait will fall apart if it is placed on a hook in the usual way. To do this, a loop of fishing line is formed along the shank of the hook. Fish roe or chicken skin or shrimp are inserted into this loop. Please note that this knot is tied with the main end of the fishing line, so it is only used on leashes. Check in advance what length of fishing line you will need for this knot for the hook you have chosen - and add this length and the length for tying the leash to the length of the leash itself before cutting off the fishing line for the leash.
